The Undateables stars Daniel Wakeford and Lily Taylor are engaged, almost a year to the day since meeting on the show. Formerly unlucky in love Daniel popped the question to Lily in a special.
Daniel Wakeford melted hearts and had audiences in tears last year when he starred on the Channel 4 show The Undateables. The show follows the lives of people who struggle to find love the conventional way. Musicial Daniel has autism and has difficulties with his speech and understanding other people, but as a teenager the 30-year-old found that he was able to overcome these through the power of songwriting. In the now famous episode of, he went on a date with Lily, and wooed her with a rendition of his song 'The Black of Lonely'. One year on from their incredible first date, the Undateables star has announced he and Lily are getting hitched.
According to the, in the episode to be aired next week the talent musician - with the help of a choir - serenades his partner with All I Want For Christmas Is You, before getting down on one knee and popping the question. A year on since the pair met, Daniel popped the question to his girlfriend, Lily.

Their families watched the romantic scenes at Brighton Bandstand, Lily's favourite spot in their home town. Lily's mum Karen, 53, said: 'We absolutely sobbed our socks off with joy. 'She has won the love lottery.

Over the past year, the 6ft 4inch star has been working hard in the recording studio but he says it was all worth it and is now loving life in the spotlight.
Daniel said: 'It was so wonderful to my life. I was a little bit nervous, I used my powerful voice and my soft voice. 'Everything is really great when I'm being a famous star. I love meeting my fans.'
